Welcome

Hello, my name is Kristie McMaster (she/her). If you are looking for a qualified (MCouns) and registered (M.A.C.A Level 2) counsellor, you're in the right place.

Over the past 20 years I have undertaken, and continue to undertake, personal and professional development programs to enhance my knowledge of ancient wisdom, current best practice and emerging potentials in the fields of human behavioural science and the human spirit, including:

  • ACA Approved Clinical Supervisor Training

  • Master of Counselling

  • Bachelor of Management (Human Resource Management)

  • Cert IV Training & Assessment

  • HeartMath Biofeedback Training

  • Gottman Method Couple Therapy Training

  • Psych-k Practitioner

  • And more...

Clients I Work With

I see children, adolescents, adults and couples. I have specific experience working with neurodivergent clients who are NDIS funded (self-managed or plan-managed only). I also see non-NDIS funded clients for a range of reasons including anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, couple therapy, relationship challenges, friendship difficulties, workplace issues, school based issues, grief & loss, mindfulness and emotion regulation training, neurodivergence-affirming exploration of self and others, parenting, family dynamics, COVID related stressors, identity exploration & development, unlocking personal potential, future goal setting, career counselling and more.

I warmly welcome all Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander peoples into my practice and I respectfully acknowledge the people of the Yugambeh language region, the traditional owners of the land on which I practice, and pay my respect to their elders past and present.  I warmly welcome people who are questioning or who identify as LGBTQIA+, people who are neurodivergent, culturally & linguistically diverse, those with lived experience of disability & mental illness, with or without a diagnosis. For members of these communities, as well as all others my practice is an affirming, accepting and safe place. My practice is neurodivergence affirming and trauma-informed. My office is generally quiet, has heating/air con and can be customised for those with sensory sensitivities (we explore sensory needs during the intake & assessment process). We have an accessible all-gender toilet and on-site car parking.
